The municipality is doing everything in its power to continue providing service to the residents of Haarlem and Zandvoort under these exceptional circumstances. In order to do this, the municipality has to make choices. In line with the national measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus wherever possible, the municipality is investigating where, when and how employees can work. This has consequences for our service provision.
For the time being, the municipality will work on a by-appointment basis only
Since Wednesday, 18 March 2020, you can only come to the municipal service centre at Zijlvest 39 if you have an appointment. You can make an appointment on www.haarlem.nl, and if there is no other way, by telephone on 14023. You may not come to the municipal service centre if you are ill. The urgent recommendation is to follow the guidelines of the RIVM (www.rivm.nl/en) and to stay at home if you are ill and not to come to the municipal service centre. You can collect a passport or driver’s license without an appointment in the morning.
We cannot receive too many people at the same time at the municipal service centre, because a minimum distance of at least 1.5 metres between visitors and employees is required. We therefore ask you to do things digitally or by telephone where possible. For instance, relocations, parking permits, Civil Registry documents and Wmo (Social Support Act) applications. Appointments can be made for other services.
Please note that it may take us a little longer to respond to your email or question. It may also take us longer to answer the telephone.
Please do not contact the municipality through WhatsApp. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer the standard service. You can reach the municipality by making an appointment, by email, by filling in the web form or by telephone.
Do you want to report something about public spaces? This can be done online and using the BuitenBeter app only.
